Senior Technical Architect

What’s the Opportunity?

An employee playing this role is expected to:

• Be a trusted advisor to banks and financial institutions, guiding them through modernization initiatives and enterprise SaaS adoption.
• Understand customer business priorities, technology strategies, and target-state architectures across retail, commercial, and corporate banking environments.
• Apply deep architectural expertise spanning legacy banking platforms, cloud-native solutions, integration frameworks, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
• Articulate the business value of Zafin’s platform within the context of the customer’s end-to-end technology landscape and strategic objectives.
• Develop solution architectures that align business goals, operational requirements, and technical constraints.
• Lead and manage customer engagements from discovery and presales through implementation and ongoing evolution.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, product teams, engineering teams, and implementation teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Design scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions that address both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in banking technology, product and pricing systems, integration patterns, and modernization strategies.
• Act as a coach and mentor to customers and internal teams, promoting architectural best practices and technical excellence.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and shared ownership across cross-functional teams.
• Own accountability for the value delivered to customers and the success of architectural outcomes.

What Will You Do?

Customer & Strategic Engagement

• Partner with clients and prospects to understand business priorities, challenges, and modernization objectives.
• Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, architecture reviews.
• Develop architectural roadmaps that demonstrate the value of Zafin’s platform within the broader enterprise ecosystem.
• Translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.
• Present architecture recommendations and solution designs to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Support presales activities by articulating product capabilities, architectural approaches, and implementation strategies.

Solution Architecture & Design

• Architect, design, and guide the implementation of enterprise-grade SaaS solutions.
• Define technology architecture within the context of the customer’s enterprise architecture and business framework.
• Develop architecture strategies based on customer business drivers, technical constraints, and transformation goals.
• Design integration patterns across core banking systems, channels, data platforms, APIs, and third-party applications.
• Produce architecture blueprints, solution designs, integration specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, security, reliability, and compliance requirements.
• Define data flows, data ownership, and enterprise integration approaches across complex ecosystems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations that enhance customer outcomes and operational effectiveness.

Delivery & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, implementation, and customer teams throughout delivery.
• Support requirements elicitation, solution validation, and architecture governance activities.
• Participate in design reviews, architecture reviews, and implementation planning.
• Verify solution configurations and ensure architectural integrity prior to customer acceptance.
• Proactively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery methodologies, technical practices, and customer experience.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor solution architects, engineers, and implementation consultants on architecture best practices.
• Promote architectural standards, reusable patterns, and technical excellence across the organization.
• Foster collaboration and shared ownership across business and technology teams.
• Contribute to the development of internal knowledge bases, reference architectures, and architectural frameworks.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Haves

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of banking and financial services technology landscapes.
• Ability to bridge business strategy and technology architecture while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or technology consulting roles.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Experience working within banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments.
• Experience leading customer-facing architecture engagements from presales through implementation.
• Experience designing and integrating complex distributed systems across multiple platforms.
• Experience working with cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of banking architecture, including core banking systems, modernization initiatives, pricing and billing platforms, and customer channels.
• Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and integration frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices.
• Understanding of data architecture, enterprise integration, and interoperability across complex ecosystems.
• Knowledge of security, identity management, encryption, and regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
• Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design documentation.
