About the role聽

Reporting to the Smart Solutions Sales Manager, the Coaching & Development Trainer聽is responsible for聽the training, development, and retention of the Smart Solutions sales team, based across the Leeds and Burnley offices. The role supports the department in achieving sales targets through the development of sales skills, capability, and product knowledge.聽

Key聽Responsibilities聽

  • Ensure new recruits receive an excellent introduction to the business by delivering the induction programme in a dynamic and engaging way.聽聽
  • Provide on the job training for聽the Smart Solutions team聽in line with the post-induction training schedule.聽聽
  • Deliver regular refresher training and support聽additional聽training needs across the sales team.聽聽
  • Deliver structured and engaging one to one coaching that positively influences sales performance, ensuring all coaching activity is documented and followed up consistently.聽聽
  • Review training effectiveness, learner feedback, and best practice from across the business, working in partnership with the L&D Business Partner to enhance training programmes and ensure materials are current, consistent, and version controlled.聽
  • Maintain a strong understanding of telematics products, competitors, and the wider market, ensuring this knowledge is effectively communicated to the team.聽聽
  • Deliver and promote training on聽Motia聽Telematics Smart Solutions聽across the wider business, including fuel teams,聽Customer聽Support, and聽Admin, covering new products, services, and initiatives.聽
  • Liaise regularly with Sales Managers to review new starter progress and agree training and coaching聽objectives.聽
  • Comply with聽the DCC Code of Conduct and all relevant Group policies.聽聽
  • Attend quarterly L&D review meetings.聽聽
  • Travel regularly between the Leeds and Burnley offices to support the Smart Solutions teams,聽demonstrating聽flexibility in work location to meet business and team requirements.聽
  • Travel as聽required聽to support training and development needs across the wider business聽
