직무 소개 

Director, Brand Management [Fashion] 는 훌륭한 리더이자 뛰어난 커뮤니케이터, 그리고 협상가로서 쿠팡 리테일 사업에 대한 판단력을 가지고 복잡한 문제에서 핵심 원인과 현상을 분석하고 해결 방안을 도출해 내는 리테일(로켓 배송) 사업의 핵심 멤버입니다. 리테일 파트너들과의 전략적 관계를 구축하고, 핵심 협상 조건을 도출하며, 매출과 수익 증대의 관점을 가지고 셀렉션, 벤더 협상, 재고 관리, 운영 효율, 그리고 프로그램 관리 등 다양한 영역에서 리테일 사업의 성장과 수익을 리드합니다.

업무 내용 

• 리더로서 담당하는 사업 비전을 전략적으로 제시하며, 내/외부 주요 파트너들의 이해관계에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 전략적 관계 발전을 수행
• 마켓내의 탑 브랜드의 성공적인 입점 협상 및 그 브랜드들의 지속가능한 성장을 위한 기회요소들을 개발
• 뛰어난 협상력과 우수한 사업적 판단력의 리더십으로 복잡한 문제를 단순하게 분리해 내고 분석하여, 외부 리테일 업체의 임원 및 고위 이해관계자들과 원활히 업무를 추진하고 성공적으로 협상 수행
• 다양한 장애물 속에서, 비즈니스 목표를 추진하고 진행 상황을 명확하게 보여주어, 내부 이해 관계자로 부터의 지원을 이끌 어 내는 능력
• 리더십, 사업에 대한 분석 및 사업적 판단, 협상, 운영 전반에 높은 관심과 뛰어난 역량을 보유하고, 고객에게 세계적인 수준의 쇼핑 경험을 제공을 목표로, 사업 운영에 필요한 지표에 대한 기준을 수립하고, 영업, 마케팅, 재고, P&L 관리 등 비즈니스 프로세스 전반에 걸쳐 필요한 가이드를 제공하고 실행
• 체계적인 접근으로 개선을 이루어 내고 새로운 기회를 적극 활용하여 사업의 성장과 고객의 만족 개선.

자격 요건 

• 학사학위 이상의 보유자로 비즈니스 전반 경력 최소 10 년 이상인 분
• 매니저 경험 및 P&L을 포함한 비즈니스 End-to-End를 성공적으로 다룬 경험을 바탕으로 문제 해결을 위해 Hands-on 할 수 있는 분
• 리테일과 이커머스 시장, 제품군의 일류 글로벌/현지 브랜드와 지속적인 관계를 구축하고 협상을 유리하게 이끌어 낸 경험이 있는 분
• 검증 가능한 탁월한 분석 역량을 갖추고 이를 바탕으로 조직에 영향력을 발휘할 수 있는 분

• 최 우선 가치인 고객경험을 극대화하기 위해 기존의 형성되어 있는 업계 관행을 과감하게 혁신하고 도전했던 경험이 있는 분

Role Overview

As our Fashion Brand Management, you will play a pivotal part in Coupang’s Retail (Rocket delivery) business. With sound judgement in Retail business, you will analyze complex problems and phenomena to identify root causes and solutions, and serve as a great leader, exceptional communicator, and negotiator.

In the key areas of Retail business including Brand Management, Business Planning (Program Management), and Selection Planning, you will build strategic relationships with our retail partners and set conditions for negotiations that can improve our revenue and profit, driving growth and profit of our Retail business as well as world-class customer experience. Our mission is to create a world where people ask, “how did we ever live without Coupang?”.

What you will do

• As a leader, provide a strategic vision for the business you run, and build and develop strategic relationships with internal/external key partners based on thorough understanding of their interests.
• Successfully onboarding negotiation of Market’s Top brands and build the momentum for sustainable business growth.
• With leadership rooted in strong negotiation capabilities and outstanding judgement, break down complex problems into simpler components and analyze them to conduct seamless and successful cooperation and negotiations with executives and high-level stakeholders of external retail companies.
• Ability to drive the business goal within various obstacles and show the clear visibility of progress and get support from the internal stakeholders.
• Show keen interest and excellent capabilities in terms of leadership, business analysis and decision making, negotiation, and operation. Set up standards for the metrics required for business operation, with an aim to deliver a world-class shopping experience. Provide and implement guidelines necessary for the overall business process ranging from sales, marketing, inventory, and P&L management.
• Achieve improvements through a systematic approach and utilize new opportunities without hesitation to drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Hire the best talents and nurture them into future leaders who can develop, launch and run new businesses.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 10 years of experience in the field of business
• Ability to provide “hands-on” leadership to solve problems based on experiences with playing a managerial role and successfully handling end-to-end aspects of a business, including P&L
• Experience in establishing long-lasting relationships with top-notch global/local brands in the retail and eCommerce market and leading successful negotiations with them
• Ability to influence the organization with strong and verifiable analytical skills
• Experience in managing/building a team and hiring team members including your subordinate employees
• Extensive experience managing and negotiating supplier relationships in Korea

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in taking on challenges and acting decisively to innovate existing practices in order to maximize customer satisfaction, which is our top priority
• Interest in technologies and experience in driving an initiative to simplify tasks and bring about changes through systematization
• Strong communication skills/experiences that help preparing persuasive and clear documents and providing ideas in a passionate and convincing manner
• Experience in conducting an excellent negotiation with a high-level representative of a domestic/global company
• Ability to act rapidly and courageously without fear of failure
• Fluency in both English and Korean preferred, but not required.
