The Role:
As a Merchandiser you will lead all product categories including MFO. This includes placing orders, ensuring deliveries are on time, analysing sales and planning stock clearance.You will need to adhere to the company principles and guidelines ensuring profitable and efficient operations and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. OTB projection and Buying Support
Assist OTB planning by season
Ensure OTB complies with budget targets by store
Prepare detailed buying plan and guidelines for all Store Managers
2. Sales Analysis and Inventory Control
Monitor sales and sell-through progress, and effective strategies and tactics to encourage sales.
Closely monitor inventory levels and develop action plans to resolve any issues, including reorder, cancellation, internal and external transfer
Collect customer feedback from stores. Communicate key findings. Incorporate learning in end-of-season analysis and buying recommendation
3. Merchandising Operation both FP & OP stores.
Communicate with retail and Comm. Management on new product launches
Communicate and closely work with the Retail and Comm. Teams in terms of window display and keep them informed of window display activities related to their respective domains
Arrange product training each season and organize meetings with product ambassadors in order to understand commercial needs
Generate & update retail price report by season
Generate monthly sales reports, trend report, market search report, and any other report as required
Coordinate special events such as trunk show, VIP presentation events, flash sale in OP
Visit the stores and train the sales team including OP and DF stores to help them to better understand the product specification to drive sales
4. Duty Free Operation support
Support registering new products info into each ERP for new season
Manage the invoice & notice on delivery
Manage uploading products on online mall
Oversee the delivery schedule check with UK
Register shipments into Korea system and Tax-invoices for each delivery to our finance team
Register price changes into each ERP and report season price changes to each buyer
Discuss return list and value with each buyer
Support management of Duty Free wholesale partners and key accounts
Monitor wholesale partners’ sales performance and sell-through, and provide recommendations to drive revenue
Coordinate seasonal buying plan and product assortment with wholesale partners
Support pricing alignment and margin control for wholesale accounts
Collaborate with partners on promotional activities, in-store visibility, and marketing initiatives
Analyse market trends and competitor activities within Duty Free channel and share insights
Skills and knowledge:
2 years’ experience within a similar role
Experience working for a luxury retail brand
Strong communication skills
Able to travel nationally and internationally as required
Flexible attitude
Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent project management skills
Excellent communication and organizing skills
Ability to manage and work to a strict budget
