Company: Petra Brands

Role type: Freelance, contract, or full-time depending on candidate fit

Location: Remote

Hiring priority: Strong direct-to-consumer paid ad experience, proven creative output, and portfolio evidence

Role Summary:

Petra Brands is seeking a Performance Ad Creative Designer to spearhead high-volume, high-converting creative production for our DTC paid media campaigns. This is not a traditional "brand-focused" role; we are looking for a direct-response specialist who understands that design must sell, communicate instantly, and adapt based on performance data.

The ideal candidate bridges the gap between high-level visual taste and fast execution, producing both native-style (organic, problem-led) and polished, structured ads. You should be comfortable using AI tools to scale creative output and have a deep understanding of hooks, customer pain points, and platform-native formats.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design static ad concepts and rapid variations for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Native placements.
  • Translate brand assets and customer pain points into ads designed to test specific hooks and buying desires.
  • Create "Native-style" ads (UGC-inspired, problem-led, organic feel) and "Designed" ads (benefit-led, comparison charts, product-focused layouts).
  • Work from lean briefs to identify unique angles, creating "advertorial-style" thinking without requiring excessive direction.
  • Use creative testing data to refine winning concepts and sunset underperforming visuals.

What We Are Looking For

    • Proven experience working with consumer brands (Health, Wellness, Beauty, or Fitness is a major plus).
    • A showcase of actual paid social ads rather than just general branding or web design.
    • Ability to discuss creative performance in the context of ROAS, CTR, and CPA.
    • Fluency in using AI tools to increase speed, volume, and creative range.
    • An understanding of what feels "natural" in a social feed vs. what feels like an overproduced commercial.
