Project Manager - (TALENT POOL)
Location: Remote (must be able to work to East and Central Africa time zones, with around 10% of time on project sites)

About This Talent Pool
We are creating a Project Manager talent pool for upcoming and聽anticipated聽work in East and Central Africa, notably Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Mozambique.

About the role
Project Managers play聽a central role聽in the successful delivery of projects across aid,聽security聽and development contexts, often in fragile and conflict-affected settings.聽
- End-to-end project management, from聽mobilisation聽to close-out聽
- Day-to-day coordination of technical advisory teams and consultants聽
- Budget oversight, financial聽forecasting聽and value-for-money monitoring聽
- Risk management, including聽maintaining聽risk registers and liaising with security teams聽
- Donor and stakeholder engagement, including regular client communication聽
- Oversight of monitoring, evaluation,聽learning聽and reporting requirements聽
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and people management where聽required聽
- Contributing to聽organisational聽learning and future opportunities聽
About you
We are keen to hear from Project Managers who bring strong technical capability and the ability to聽operate聽flexibly in complex environments.聽
- Experience in project management within the aid,聽security聽and/or development sectors聽
- Experience managing projects funded by bilateral or multilateral donors (e.g.聽FCDO, EU, UN agencies, World Bank, USG)聽
- Strong budgeting,聽financial management聽and risk management skills聽
- Confidence working with diverse, multi-national teams and stakeholders聽
- Excellent communication and聽organisational聽skills聽
- A proactive,聽adaptable聽and solutions-focused approach聽
- Comfort working remotely across time zones and travelling to field locations聽
- Strong IT skills, particularly across MS 365, including Excel聽
- Languages:鈥疐luency in English is聽required.聽Proficiency聽in聽regional聽languages is a bonus
