Onwards Together!

Illumio is the leader in ransomware and breach containment, redefining how organizations contain cyberattacks and enable operational resilience. Powered by the Illumio AI Security Graph, our breach containment platform identifies and contains threats across hybrid multi-cloud environments – stopping the spread of attacks before they become disasters.

Recognized as a Leader in the Forrester Wave™ for Microsegmentation, Illumio enables Zero Trust, strengthening cyber resilience for the infrastructure, systems, and organizations that keep the world running.

Our Team's Vision:

Our Engineering team is shaping the future of cybersecurity. We thrive on visionary leadership, autonomy, and ownership, fostering a culture of innovation that propels us forward in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

As a leader in Zero Trust Segmentation, we are redefining security for a world facing unprecedented cyber threats. You’ll work with a highly scalable SaaS service built using cloud-native technologies and increasingly powered by agentic AI systems and large language models (LLMs) to deliver intelligent, adaptive, and resilient applications at hyperscale.

We are making significant investments in AI-native product capabilities, where autonomous agents, contextual reasoning, real-time decisioning, and LLMs augment human workflows and unlock new levels of insight, automation, and customer value.

Our guiding philosophy in Engineering is to get things right by practicing disciplined engineering — focusing on quality, avoiding shortcuts, and having fun while doing it. We believe in enabling ownership at all levels of the organization and empowering teams. If you thrive in this culture, come join us!

Your Impact:

  • This role combines hands-on technical contributions with managerial responsibilities. You will be at the center of important product and technology initiatives, with significant visibility, responsibility, and growth potential.

  • You will lead the team responsible for the newly launched SaaS Insights product, define and execute its roadmap, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product growth.

  • You will drive the strategy, design, and delivery of AI-powered product capabilities, leveraging agentic workflows and large language models (LLMs) to create differentiated, intelligent user experiences and automation at scale.

  • You will champion the adoption of Agentic AI and LLMs across engineering to increase productivity, accelerate innovation, and enable teams to move faster through AI-assisted development, code generation, testing, and operations.

  • You will partner with leaders across engineering, operations, product management, and other functions to make critical decisions on roadmap direction, customer feedback, and integration with the broader Illumio platform.

  • You will ensure the correctness, scalability, and modularity of the architecture and implementation, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and security best practices.

  • You will grow and develop a top-tier engineering team, working closely with senior technical leads and cross-functional leaders.

  • You will define, manage, and enforce milestone gates to ensure feature completeness and quality, while balancing business priorities with deadlines and delivering on time to the largest and most demanding enterprise customers.

  • As part of the technical leadership community at Illumio, you will play a critical role in product planning, working closely with senior executives to set business milestones, define resource requirements, and influence our long-term technical and business strategy.

Your Toolkit:

  • Experience managing 10+ full-time engineers in a global environment, with 10+ years in roles of increasing responsibility and technical leadership.

  • Significant experience building and delivering scalable, cloud-native enterprise SaaS products and services. Proven track record of taking enterprise software products from inception through to successful customer delivery.

  • Strong, hands-on experience with AI/ML system design and production deployment, including prompt engineering, data pipelines, observability, evaluation frameworks, and cost/performance/latency trade-offs in production LLM-powered applications.

  • Proven experience designing, building, and shipping AI-assisted products, with practical, real-world experience using large language models (LLMs) and agentic workflows to deliver customer-facing automation and innovation.

  • Experience with modern public cloud infrastructure (particularly AWS and Azure), containerization and orchestration technologies, and DevOps tools and best practices.

  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise software in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI) is highly desired.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement leveraging AI, strong leadership behaviors, and decisive actions.

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
