Own and build the backbone of HSE systems, compliance, and data-driven decision-making across a fast-scaling, high-impact organization.
About the roleAs SkyNRG continues to scale and develop its first seveso-classified major hazard installation, the need for robust systems, reliable data, and strong compliance processes becomes increasingly critical. In this context, we are looking for a HSE Systems & Compliance Lead who will bring structure, ownership, and clarity to how HSE data, systems, and reporting are organized across the company.
This role offers the opportunity to build and shape a developing environment, where you will take ownership of defining the HSE systems landscape and creating tools, processes, and reporting structures that are compliant, scalable, and practical for daily operations.
You will operate at the intersection of systems, compliance, and data. That means translating regulatory and operational requirements into clear reporting structures, ensuring data integrity, and enabling leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions. At the same time, you will work closely with project teams, particularly within the DSL-01 project, to ensure that what is designed at a corporate level is consistently implemented in practice. This will involve being on site in Delfzijl approximately once every two weeks.
Your impact will be tangible: without strong systems and reliable data, compliance becomes reactive and fragmented. With you in place, SkyNRG will have the foundation to operate in a structured, transparent, and forward-looking way as we continue to grow.
In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, from project teams to senior leadership. You will act as both a builder and a facilitator: someone who creates the structure, but also ensures that people understand it, use it, and improve it over time.
Your responsibilities will focus on:
Designing, implementing, and continuously improving HSE systems and digital tools
Establishing clear reporting structures, dashboards, and KPIs that enable insight and decision-making
Ensuring data integrity and consistent use of systems across projects and teams
Structuring and leading the HSE audit cycle, including coordination, reporting, and follow-up
Supporting compliance processes and strengthening overall compliance maturity
Translating data into insights and actionable improvements for the organization
Beyond this, you will play a key role in selecting and implementing future HSE software solutions, as well as contributing to the development of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001). You will also support specific requirements linked to the DSL-01 project, including structured reporting towards lenders.
Your profileAs a growing company in a rapidly evolving industry, we are looking for people who embrace change and are motivated to actively contribute to building and scaling our business. You are comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, take ownership, and thrive in evolving settings. You combine structure and attention to detail with a clear view of the bigger picture, and you are pragmatic and hands-on in building from the ground up.
You recognize yourself in the following:
You bring experience working with HSE systems, compliance frameworks, and reporting cycles
You are analytically strong and comfortable working with data, dashboards, and KPIs
You have experience setting up or improving audit processes and compliance structures
You are able to translate complex data or requirements into clear, practical solutions
You communicate clearly and are confident in guiding and training stakeholders
You are comfortable working across multiple teams and levels within an organization
You have a solid understanding of Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
Nice to have:
Familiarity with ESG standards and reporting requirements
