The Product Manager – Commerce Engine is responsible for owning a defined area of the Commerce Engine platform, driving both product discovery and delivery. This role goes beyond execution to ensure the right problems are being solved — working closely with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, validate solutions, and deliver high-impact outcomes.
Operating within a multi-squad Agile environment, the Product Manager partners closely with Engineering, UX, and Product Leadership to shape priorities, guide delivery, and ensure alignment with long-term product strategy. This is a high-impact role focused on balancing short-term delivery with long-term product health, scalability, and market fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own problem discovery and validation within your product area.
- Conduct customer interviews, stakeholder sessions, and market research to identify opportunities.
- Develop and test product hypotheses using data and user feedback.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap definition.
- Define success metrics and measure product outcomes post-release.
- Own and maintain the Commerce Engine product backlog.
- Translate roadmap initiatives into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize work across new features, enhancements, and technical initiatives.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and release coordination.
- Ensure solutions are aligned to validated customer needs and business outcomes.
- Balance feature delivery with platform stability and long-term sustainability.
- Partner with Engineering on effort sizing, trade-offs, and release planning.
- Work closely with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and UX to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
- Act as the voice of the customer in product decisions.
- Align with Product Leadership on roadmap priorities and strategic direction.
- Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies and integrated releases.
- Support discovery sessions and solution validation discussions.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clearly defined, execution-ready work.
