Position Description
A Revenue Billing Analyst manages the end-to-end billing cycle, ensuring accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and account reconciliation. They analyze billing data to detect errors, resolve customer disputes, and support month-end close, often partnering with sales and finance teams to improve revenue processes and ensure contract compliance.
Primary Objectives
· Invoicing & Billing Management: Generating and distributing accurate customer invoices based on contract terms and billing schedules.
· Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyzing large datasets to identify billing trends, revenue variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
· Cost Models: Assist business unit with creating and reviewing cost models for projects to include predictive gross margin and impacts of variations.
· Dispute Resolution: Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies, payment shortfalls, and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
· Revenue Assurance: Monitoring accounts receivable (A/R) and ensuring that all sales and orders are accurately captured and billed to prevent revenue leakage.
· Compliance & Audits: Ensuring billing practices adhere to internal controls, regulatory standards (like SOX), and payer rules.
· Reconciliation: Performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations between billing systems and the general ledger.
