Keylane is a leading European supplier of modern SaaS platforms for the insurance and pension industry. We enable our clients to innovate, remain competitive and deliver excellent services to their customers by running their core processes on our cloud platforms.

Benefits-Plaza is Keylane’s all-in-one SaaS integration solution for secure straight through processing (STP) of employee and payroll data.

With Benefits-Plaza, Keylane provides an Employee Benefits platform for the administration of - and communication regarding - all insurable Employee Benefits. The online platform connects various systems, such as: insurance portals, back office and payroll administration systems. This ensures optimal chain integration, making the entire administration and communication process easier and more efficient for the employer, the adviser and the insurer.

Key about your role

As a Technical Application Engineer in the TAM (Technical Application Management) team for Benefits-Plaza, you help safeguard the availability, performance and security of our Benefits-Plaza environments for customers in the Life & Pension domain.

Together with experienced colleagues, you:

  • Take ownership of complex incidents and problems on the Benefits-Plaza platform, acting as a technical escalation point for colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Monitor the Benefits-Plaza platform and act on alerts and incidents (for example disk space issues, high CPU usage or Tomcat down situations).
  • Contribute to daily operations: handling service requests and standard changes, following agreed ITIL processes.
  • Support the provisioning and configuration of new customer environments, including setting up application components and validating that they are ready for use.
  • Oversee webservice provisioning for customers, including whitelisting, network/security configurations and end-to-end technical validation.
  • Design, plan and execute patching and upgrade cycles for the underlying technology stack (RHEL, DB2, Tomcat and related components), balancing risk, downtime and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of client and server certificates, including planning renewals, coordinating with customers and ensuring secure deployment across environments.
  • Play a key role in external audits, penetration tests and disaster recovery/failover tests: preparing evidence, leading technical execution, and following up on remediation actions.
  • Contribute to the standardization and automation of TAM processes (runbooks, scripts, tooling) to ensure consistent, repeatable operations.
  • Drive capacity management and monitoring: tuning thresholds, improving dashboards and automating responses where possible.

You are comfortable making decisions in complex situations, keeping the overview under pressure and balancing customer expectations, security and operational risk.

Key about your team

You will work in the TAM team, part of Keylane’s SaaS organization:

  • We deliver best-in-class SaaS services from a secure, ISO-certified private cloud, ensuring our customers can focus on pension administration while we manage the technical platform.
  • The team consists of highly skilled IT professionals with strong expertise in infrastructure, databases, middleware and security, combined with deep knowledge of the Life & Pension domain.
  • We work with standardized processes for migrations, implementations and operations, and continuously refine our way of working based on experience and feedback.
  • We value openness, collaboration and ownership: everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and take initiative.
