As a Financial Accountant / Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for managing core accounting processes and ensuring accuracy and transparency across financial operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external accountants to maintain reliable financial data, support reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key role in month-end processes, financial planning, and improving financial workflows, contributing to better visibility and control over company performance, in line with Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
- Handle accruals, prepayments, and month-end close activities
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Maintain financial documentation and contracts in an audit-ready state
- Collaborate with external accountants and auditors (NL)
- Support budgeting, cost analysis, and project-level financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and intercompany accounting
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and data flow
