About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Owner – Lending who will be the bridge between our big-picture lending strategy and the actual digital tools our customers use. You’ll take the lead on turning ideas for personal loans, microloans, and "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) options into smooth, easy-to-use digital experiences. Your work will ensure that our lending journeys are not only fast and modern but also safe and reliable for everyone involved.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the Game Plan: Take full ownership of the lending product backlog, making sure the team is always working on the features—like new loan types or quicker approval steps—that bring the most value to our users.
- Create Clear Steps: Turn business goals into clear, simple instructions (user stories) for our engineers and designers so everyone knows exactly what needs to be built.
- Build Better Journeys: Ensure that everything from applying for a loan to paying it back is a seamless, digital-first experience for our customers.
- Listen to the Data: Dive into customer feedback and performance numbers to figure out what’s working and what needs to be improved in the lending flow.
- Team Up Across the Board: Work closely with the Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to make sure our products follow all the rules (like credit strategy and local laws) while still being user-friendly.
- Drive Innovation: Keep an eye on the latest fintech trends and new technologies to keep Snappi ahead of the curve in the lending world.
- Track Success: Support the Head of Lending in hitting key goals, like growing our portfolio and making our internal processes more automated, efficient, and high-performing.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Business, Finance, or Technology.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, specifically within digital finance or platform-based lending.
- Lending Know-How: A solid understanding of retail lending products (like loans and credit cards) and how to build them in an agile environment.
- Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex ideas simply and work effectively with people from all different parts of the company.
- Analytical Mindset: You enjoy using data to solve problems and make smart decisions about what to build next.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A good grasp of lending rules and risk management, especially within the EU landscape.
- Organization: Strong skills in prioritizing tasks and staying on top of details in a fast-moving workplace.
