But “own” means something different here. You’re not just checking in on renewals or answering tickets. You are the single person your customers call when something isn't working, when they have a question, or when they need help getting more out of the product. Your day is shaped by their needs and you respond fast, solve creatively, and figure out how to make the product work better for them.   There's no product manager between you and the product. You are the product manager. You'll work directly with an engineer and get into the code yourself through tools like Claude. You see what customers need, you figure out the solution, and you ship it. Think of it as being a founder for your portfolio: you handle the relationship, you see the opportunity, and you make it happen.   You don’t need a technical background. You need to be razor-sharp, hungry to learn, instinctive about what customers want, love talking to customers, and the type of person who plays with AI prompts at midnight because you can't stop finding new ways to solve problems.
