Attributes We Value

We hire successful builders with founder-like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you’re motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.

You're humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you “get stuff done” end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you’ll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let’s build what’s next.

About the Product Team

The Product team at Airwallex is a group of passionate builders and problem-solvers who are obsessed with crafting customer-centric solutions that empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime. We combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of our customers' needs to design and build unified, intuitive, and scalable products. As a team, we thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, constantly iterating and pushing boundaries to deliver exceptional product experiences.

What You'll Do

As the Chief of Staff to the VP of Product, you will act as a force multiplier, strategic partner, and right-hand to our product leadership. You will be responsible for driving the operational rhythm of the Product organization, leading high-priority cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring strategic alignment as we scale our global financial platform. This is a highly strategic position designed for an ambitious leader with founder-like energy who thrives in ambiguity and aspires to be a future product leader or executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner with the VP of Product to define, communicate, and track the product organization's strategy and OKRs. Drive annual and quarterly planning cycles, ensuring alignment with our overarching global company goals.

  • Operational Excellence: Establish and optimize the operating rhythm of the Product leadership team. Identify bottlenecks in our product development lifecycle and implement process improvements to increase team velocity and efficiency across our global engineering and product hubs.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a primary liaison between Product and key departments (Engineering, Risk, Go-to-Market, etc.). Step in as a proxy for the VP in key meetings, equipped to make decisions from first principles to keep initiatives moving fast.

  • Special Projects & Incubation: Lead high-impact, cross-functional special projects that fall outside the day-to-day scope of individual product teams (e.g., evaluating new market segments, operationalizing AI internally, or diving into strategic M&A targets).

  • Executive Communications: Synthesize complex data and product roadmaps into clear, actionable executive summaries and board materials.

Who You Are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 - 10 years of overall professional experience, with a strong background in Management and Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations.

  • Experience driving alignment and operational excellence in hyper-growth startup environments or at a global scale.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex product strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as executive stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical mindset; ability to utilize data to identify pain points, measure success, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with exemplary academic achievements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong domain knowledge in the financial product industry, fintech, or payments.
