A Cost Analyst at Cadillac Formula 1® team plays an important role within the Programme Office, providing financial insight and data-driven analysis to support cost effective delivery of car development activities. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the output of the cost analyst’s role will contribute to informed decision-making, improved budgeting accuracy, and greater cost predictability. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with data, they bring a proactive, cost-conscious mindset that helps drive financial efficiency. The greater our cost efficiency, the more performance we can add to the car.

Key responsibilities

  • Compare BoM cost actuals of launch car spec assemblies against original budget assumptions, to highlight focus points for cost reduction initiatives
  • Compare cost variances between previous, current and future specification assemblies
  • Collate in-season Project Actual costs vs Project Estimated costs, to refine accuracy of budget estimations for future upgrade projects
  • Weekly reporting of obsolete inventory data, to support the Programme Office with maximizing the cost efficiency of order strategies for in-season upgrade projects
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost transparency, budgeting accuracy, forecasting robustness, and reporting quality
