We are seeking a dedicated Machine Shop Team Leader for the Night Shift to take operational leadership of the overnight machine shop activities. The successful candidate will oversee the machining team during the night hours, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety compliance are consistently met in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
- Lead and manage the night shift machining team to meet production schedules and quality objectives
- Coordinate daily machine shop operations, including setup, machining, inspections, and documentation
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with day shift and management to ensure smooth handovers and continuous improvement
- Monitor machine performance and maintenance requirements, reporting issues promptly
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and report shift performance metrics.
- Support process optimization and implementation of best practices within the machine shop
- Assist with troubleshooting technical problems during the shift to minimize downtime
