Make a Real Impact as a Chemistry and Biology Tutor.

Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support for students in A Level Biology and Chemistry. These in-person sessions in Hackney or Islington offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

  • This job is in person in the Hackney or Islington area.
  • Hour(s): 2 hours per week.
  • Contract Length: 8 weeks.
  • Available Day(s) and Time(s): Monday - Friday, during school hours.
  • Subject(s) and Level: Biology & Chemistry, A Level.
  • Start Date: Immediate.
  • Rate of Pay: £32.50 p/h.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level.
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide targeted support for students.
  • Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
  • Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.
