Commvault is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our Accounts Payable team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
The selected intern will collaborate closely with team members and global colleagues, gaining valuable cross-functional experience while reporting directly to the Senior Accountant. This position is for a full-time summer internship. Must be available to work from Tuesday, May 26th until Friday, August 7th.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Support
- Process invoices into the Accounts Payable system
- Process new vendor requests and purchase orders
- Assist in preparation of journal entries
- Complete internal and external audit requests
- Complete account reconciliations at the end of each month
- Communicate with vendors to confirm their banking information
- Sort / organize the Accounts Payable inbox
Travel & Expense (T&E) Support
- Analyze T&E expenses and inquiry trends to help identify opportunities for process improvements and stronger collaboration between Finance and Operations
- Play an active role in a T&E ticketing system enhancement project to gain hands-on exposure to system and workflow design
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, document workflows, and identify process gaps.
- Support testing and help create user-friendly documentation and training materials to improve the employee experience
Requirements:
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic program
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Highly detail oriented with a strong sense of accountability
- NetSuite, Concur, or ServiceNow knowledge is a plus
- Be at least 17 years of age prior to scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled at an accredited institution
