Commvault is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our Accounts Payable team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate with a solid understanding of accounting principles.

The selected intern will collaborate closely with team members and global colleagues, gaining valuable cross-functional experience while reporting directly to the Senior Accountant. This position is for a full-time summer internship. Must be available to work from Tuesday, May 26th until Friday, August 7th.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Support

  • Process invoices into the Accounts Payable system
  • Process new vendor requests and purchase orders
  • Assist in preparation of journal entries
  • Complete internal and external audit requests
  • Complete account reconciliations at the end of each month
  • Communicate with vendors to confirm their banking information
  • Sort / organize the Accounts Payable inbox
     

Travel & Expense (T&E) Support

  • Analyze T&E expenses and inquiry trends to help identify opportunities for process improvements and stronger collaboration between Finance and Operations
  • Play an active role in a T&E ticketing system enhancement project to gain hands-on exposure to system and workflow design
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, document workflows, and identify process gaps.
  • Support testing and help create user-friendly documentation and training materials to improve the employee experience

 

Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic program
  • Proficient in Word and Excel 
  • Highly detail oriented with a strong sense of accountability
  • NetSuite, Concur, or ServiceNow knowledge is a plus  
  • Be at least 17 years of age prior to scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled at an accredited institution
