The Goal

We’re looking for an HR Operations Advisor to join our friendly and collaborative team here at OpenBet. This is a key role in our People function, where you'll support the full employee lifecycle and help deliver a consistent, people-focused experience across our global teams.
You’ll be part of a close-knit HR Operations team, working alongside colleagues across the globe, and reporting into our Head of HR Operations. It’s a brilliant opportunity to build trusted relationships, support our people, and contribute to impactful work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting the detail right, and is happy juggling multiple tasks. From HR systems and contracts to onboarding, payroll, and projects, you'll play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly.
What you will be doing
- Employee Lifecycle Management Manage key employee milestones, from new joiners through to leavers, ensuring timely and accurate updates in our HR systems.
- Employee Queries Be the go-to person for HR-related questions, offering timely, clear, and supportive responses to employees.
- Payroll Preparation Prepare monthly payroll inputs for Greece, including joiners, leavers, overtime, on-call payments, and other relevant updates.
- Absence Management Track and report on employee absences, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate system records.
- Benefits Administration
- Support benefit enrolments and updates, and partner with vendors to ensure employees have access to the right support.
- Documentation Draft and issue contracts and employee lifecycle paperwork via DocuSign, maintaining accurate and complete records.
- Pre-employment Checks Coordinate pre-employment screening and proactively address any issues to support a smooth hiring process.
- Onboarding Work closely with our support teams to deliver a welcoming and consistent onboarding experience for new joiners.
- Data Integrity Maintain accurate HRIS data, performing regular audits to ensure quality and consistency.
- Invoice Processing Support occasional invoice processing for HR-related costs, helping to ensure smooth financial tracking.
- Ad-hoc Projects Get involved in a variety of projects, such as helping develop process automation, AI development for HR, data audits, and employee experience initiatives.
The Player
- A degree in HR (or working towards one) with 3+ years' HR operations experience in a fast-paced environment
- Confident communicator with a clear, engaging, and coaching style
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and ability to prioritise
- Comfortable using HR systems (Workday a plus) and proficient in Microsoft Office
- A team player who’s proactive, solutions-focused, and collaborates well with others
- Solid understanding of Greece and UK HR practices; global knowledge is a bonus (especially US, Canada, Ukraine, Singapore, or Australia)
- High personal standards and a conscientious approach to delivering work on time and to a high quality
