The core responsibilities of the Finance & Strategy community are:
Strategy & Planning: steers Alan's financial performance through business planning, financial and operational monitoring, investor relations, financing and M&A
Financial Reporting: is the steward of Alan's financial truth, ensuring that we produce accurate, timely financial data. It owns the reporting to all key stakeholders (board, leadership team, tax authorities, and regulators like the ACPR) and ensures that financial data is the single, uncontested source of truth for the company's performance.
Finance Data and Operations: Build and own the core finance data and tooling infrastructure (models, pipelines, and concepts that connect business operations to financial reality). This is where Finance meets product thinking
Functional poles with end-to-end ownership of their domain: Treasury, Procurement
🎯 Your mission
As Procurement Lead within the Finance community, your mission is to elevate Alan’s procurement setup into a high-impact, business-enabling capability.
You will bring more structure, visibility and commercial rigor to how we manage suppliers, while keeping our approach pragmatic and adapted to a fast-moving environment. Your role will be to focus procurement effort where it creates the most value, strengthen our supplier relationships, and support teams across Alan make better purchasing decisions.
More specifically, you will:
Strengthen and scale Alan’s procurement setup, by improving the processes, governance, and templates that support better supplier management and purchasing decisions across the company
Work with business owners on the commercial management of a defined portfolio of strategic suppliers, especially key software providers
Lead high-impact negotiations, on selected high-value topics where procurement expertise can materially improve outcomes
Enable Alaners to make better vendor decisions, by providing coaching, support, and clear documentation on negotiation approach and purchasing best practices
Build visibility on spend and vendor benchmarks, to help teams better understand pricing and make more informed decisions
Proactively engage teams on critical renewals, to ensure important supplier decisions are anticipated early and managed before they become urgent
Dive deep when needed into contracts, pricing structures, supplier economics, consumption patterns and category dynamics to unlock better outcomes
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building maturity in an evolving environment, knows how to combine influence with execution, and can distinguish between where procurement needs stronger structure and where simplicity should win.
⚙️ Qualifications ⚙️
Must have:
5+ years procurement experience, including in scale-up/fast-growth environments (tech, SaaS, insurance or another operationally complex environment)
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French
Proven track record structuring and scaling procurement in evolving setups
Strong negotiation skills with complex commercial agreements, especially SaaS/IT contracts
Ability to balance strategic frameworks with hands-on execution
Familiarity with enterprise software licensing models
Excellent stakeholder management across Finance, Legal, Workplace, IT, and business teams
Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to go deep into spend, pricing models, contracts and usage patterns
High autonomy and comfort with ambiguity
Nice to have:
Experience with procurement tools/platforms
Exposure to AI/ML provider contracts
Exposure to legal, compliance or risk considerations linked to supplier selection and management
For this role we are looking to hire within the D-E level range.
