Control Risks is looking to hire a Risk Analyst to be a part of our Embedded Consulting Services model, supporting a Fortune 50 technology client based in Chicago, IL. This role will directly support the client’s Enterprise Risk Management efforts, with a strong emphasis on fintech, payments, and technology-related risk.

The Risk Analyst will operate as an integrated member of the client’s risk organization, executing enterprise and domain-specific risk assessments and providing clear, actionable insights to stakeholders across the business. The role requires a high degree of independence, strong analytical capability, and the ability to translate complex risk concepts into decision-ready outputs.

  • Execute end-to-end risk assessments aligned to established risk assessment methodologies and frameworks, ensuring consistency and completeness.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision, including proactively identifying required work, planning assessment activities, managing timelines, and driving follow-ups to closure.
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities, including documenting risks, reviewing action plans and supporting evidence, tracking mitigation progress, and maintaining KRIs/KPIs.
  • Develop and recommend qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methodologies, including risk weighting, aggregation approaches, and enterprise-level risk reporting.
  • Produce risk reporting and analysis, including visual data representations, charts, dashboards, and executive-ready slide decks.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including product teams, to ensure risk assessments align with business strategy, objectives, and product development priorities.
  • Conduct assessments across multiple risk domains, including Financial, Operational, Compliance, and Strategic risk.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of risk assessment documentation, procedures, and frameworks.
  • Provide risk assessment training and guidance to stakeholders to promote consistency and adoption of risk methodologies.
