Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians

At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly scaling tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

We’re hiring a Senior Designer to own Neo’s web platform and evolve the design systems that power it.

This role sits at the intersection of product design, growth, and systems thinking. Your mission is to ensure Neo’s first impression, from our core website to landing pages and key conversion flows, is fast, clear, high-quality, and continuously improving.

You’ll own Neo’s highest-leverage customer entry points and build the systems, patterns, and workflows that allow teams to scale them. You’ll partner closely with Growth, Marketing, Creative, and Engineering to design experiences that don’t just look great, they perform.

This is a high-impact role. Your work will directly influence how millions of Canadians discover, understand, and choose Neo.

What you’ll be doing

Own Web & Conversion Surfaces

  • Own Neo’s core website, landing pages, and key acquisition and conversion flows as a product surface.

  • Design and optimize high-impact entry points across onboarding, product discovery, and marketing campaigns.

  • Bring a strong point of view on what best-in-class fintech web experiences look like, and raise the bar across Neo.

Drive Growth & Performance

  • Partner closely with Growth, Marketing, and Creative to improve conversion, clarity, and engagement.

  • Use data, experimentation, and user insights to inform design decisions and iterate quickly.

  • Design for measurable outcomes, balancing brand, usability, and performance.

Own & Evolve the Design System (with a Web Focus)

  • Own and evolve Neo’s design system with a strong focus on web and growth surfaces.

  • Build scalable foundations: components, patterns, tokens, and interaction standards.

  • Define reusable patterns for landing pages, offers, onboarding entry points, and experimentation.

  • Ensure consistency across product and marketing without slowing teams down.

Enable Speed Through Systems & Workflows

  • Improve how teams design, build, and ship web experiences, Figma libraries, workflows, and governance.

  • Support rapid experimentation without fragmentation or quality loss.

  • Partner with engineering to strengthen design-to-code alignment and reduce rework.

Who we’re looking for

  • 5–7 years of product design experience.

  • Strong experience designing high-performing web experiences, landing pages, or acquisition flows.

  • Proven ability to improve conversion, clarity, and usability through design.

  • Deep experience building or maintaining design systems used in production across teams.

  • Strong craft across interaction design, visual design, and information architecture.

  • Systems thinker, you connect components → flows → journeys → outcomes.

  • Experience working closely with engineers and understanding front-end realities (components, tokens, constraints).

  • Comfortable working with growth, marketing, and creative teams in fast-paced environments.

  • Experience with experimentation and iteration (A/B testing, rapid prototyping, etc.).

  • A thoughtful perspective on AI-assisted design tools and how they can improve workflows.

  • Strong communicator who can align teams, explain tradeoffs, and drive clarity in ambiguous spaces.

  • Obsessed with outcomes, you care about what performs, not just what looks good.
