About the role...

We are currently seeking a Business Application Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our business in implementing and developing solutions for large EU and international institutions and private sector companies in Greece and abroad.


What you will do...

  • Develop deep technical and business expertise in EU Customs and Taxation applications.
  • Act as an expert consultant for specific EU Taxation and Customs applications, supporting the European Commission and Member States by resolving issues, answering functional and technical questions, and providing insights to drive the business and technical evolution of these applications through their development cycle.
  • Provide technical consulting and guidance during integration, testing, and operational phases, including pre-deployment checks, validation, and post-deployment support.
  • Collaborate with national administrations and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and transition.
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and within quality standards.
  • Create, contribute and manage in deployment plan execution to ensure synchronization and effectiveness of related activities and compliance with processes required at service start-up.
  • Participate in and/or lead meetings, workshops, technical calls and training sessions with clients and stakeholders (European Commission and EU Member States).
  • Deliver 2nd level support for EU Taxation and Customs applications during the transition phase, especially during the compliance validation and deployment phase.
  • Investigate and analyse the system logs and audits, provide support and resolution for complex technical issues.
  • Handle high-impact customer escalations with ownership and timely resolution.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date deployment documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Own and continuously improve the Incident and Problem Management processes, aligned with ITIL best practices.
  • Foster and grow strong business relationships with key stakeholders.

Technical Skills required...

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant fields.
  • 2-6 years of experience in the field of Business Analysis or technical project management or roll-out of IT systems or testing of integrated systems.
  • Experience with incident management and collaboration platforms (e.g. Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow).
  • Solid skills in data retrieval, analysis, and reporting (e.g., SQL, pivot tables, dashboards) to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Practical experience in reviewing and analyzing technical and functional requirements, with a focus on providing client-oriented recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, from testing to release management and operational monitoring.
  • Automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, SoapUI)
  • Knowledge of XML, XSD, JSON, REST/SOAP services
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management and ITIL frameworks is highly appreciated.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of BPMN will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, both written and oral.
