This position reports to the (Insert Line Manager Title)

This position reports to the National WMS & Systems Manager 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • System Administration and Maintenance
    - Day to Day administration of Oracle WMS – user maintenance, user access, profiles, and location maintenance.
    - Day to Day administration of other operational warehouse systems - user accounts, access, profiles.
    - Performing routine audits of systems and operational processes.
    - Responsible for first-line support/maintenance of data pipelines for operational reports/dashboards.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting
    - Level 1 support to DC operations, troubleshooting of integration issues with ERP and other operational systems.
    - Analysing system logs, identifying and reporting potential issues with all operational systems.
    - Troubleshooting and recording of reported system problems.
    - Assisting in troubleshooting WCS & escalating to stakeholders.
    - Answering technical queries and assisting users.
    - Understanding & partaking in stock sync, operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
    - Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) on testing and validation.
    - Quality Control (QC) support for Integration of Dimensions operational assistance.
    - Responsible for testing and roll-out of proposed new functionalities and bi-annual upgrades of Oracle.
  • Systems Analysis and Process Design
    - Identifying and analysing current system issues or requirements
    - Creating visual representations that depict the current state of the system processes versus the future state post-implementation or changes
    - Developing diagrams that represent the interactions between users and systems.
    - Crafting user stories to capture the system requirements in a user-centric manner
    - Utilizing Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) diagrams to illustrate detailed process flows within the DC operations
    - Creating flowcharts to visualize the process steps for troubleshooting integration issues with ERP and other operational systems
  • Reporting, Analytics, and Documentation
    - Development of reporting and dashboards from WMS reporting tool for OPS management teams.
    - Development custom/ ad-hoc reports tailored to specific operational needs or management requests
    - Responsible for maintenance of data-guides, in support of operational Reports/Dashboards.
    - Arranging data in an understandable manner to assist operations with reports/dashboards.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    - Interface between DC Operations, DC Development Team, and WMS Vendor for issue logging and resolution.
    - Liaise with operational systems and service providers with management.
    - Reporting on and analysis of issue trends with WMS Vendor.
    - Liaison with IT & ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
    - Liaison with IT & Scanner Providers ensuring that the scanners configurations are up and running as needed.
    - Assist En-log team to apply all system upgrades & system errors.
    - Responsible for the facilitation of the roll-out & implementation of projects / functionalities from other business units within operations.
  • Training, Development and Continuous Improvement
    - Responsible for maintenance of technical training schedules in support of operational SOP’s.
    - Responsible to align full operational flow across all departments with system processes.
    - Assist operations with good system practice & change management.
    - Conducting training sessions and workshops for DC operations and management teams to increase their proficiency in using the developed dashboards and reports

Qualifications:

  • Degrees in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, B.Comm Logistics, or equivalent academic backgrounds
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience within DC operations
  • Previous experience with WMS systems such as Logfire(Oracle), Manhattan, Red Prairie, SAP, Highjump or similar
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office packages
  • Comfortable with learning and adapting to new systems
  • Critical and Systems thinking
  • Passionate about change and improvement.
