Are you a people‑focused retail leader who thrives in a hands‑on, customer‑centric environment? ProCook is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Deputy Store Manager to join our Exeter store and help deliver the exceptional service and standards our customers love.

This is a permanent, full‑time role (40 hours per week), working 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday, on a rota basis. As part of your onboarding, you’ll complete mandatory training, including two days at our Head Office in Gloucester and four weeks in one of our training stores. The order and timing of this training may vary.

As Deputy Store Manager, you’ll support the Store Manager in leading the team, driving commercial performance, and ensuring smooth, efficient store operations. You’ll be a visible leader on the shop floor, setting the tone for great service and a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting daily operations to ensure the store runs efficiently and consistently.
  • Engaging with customers to provide personalised product advice and outstanding service.
  • Training and developing team members on products, sales techniques, and customer interaction.
  • Maintaining store standards including presentation, cleanliness, and inventory accuracy.
  • Driving sales performance through strong merchandising and customer‑focused strategies.

What Your Day will Look Like

  • Leading morning briefings to set goals, priorities, and motivation for the day.
  • Monitoring service standards and taking action to elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring operational compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Managing stock and inventory through checks, counts, and accurate processes.
  • Supporting sales targets by coaching the team and contributing to commercial decision‑making.
