As a Head English Teacher at Aaron School, you'll lead a dynamic classroom where students with diverse learning needs build confidence, communication skills, and academic growth through engaging and individualized instruction. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to create meaningful learning experiences that help students thrive both academically and personally.

What You'll Need

  • Master’s degree in English education or a related field from an accredited institution with special education experience preferred

  • New York State teaching certification in English Education Grates 7-12 required

  • Experience in developing and managing individualized learning goals and monitoring student progress

  • Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement engaging English lessons aligned with curriculum goals and differentiated for diverse learning needs

  • Develop individualized goals for each student, monitor progress, and adjust instruction to foster success

  • Collaborate with faculty and administrators to differentiate curricula for all students

  • Build positive relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and ongoing student updates

  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and empowered to learn
