About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable IT Specialist to join our IT Infrastructure & Security team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for end-user technology support, keeping our office running smoothly while contributing to infrastructure projects that drive real improvements across the organisation.
You will work across our Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments, manage mobile devices, and help shape the way we adopt new tooling — including AI-powered productivity tools. Key Responsibilities
- End-User Support
- • Provide responsive, floor-walking IT support to all staff, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for helpdesk tickets, prioritising and escalating issues as appropriate.
- • Set up, configure, and maintain end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- • Deliver clear and patient guidance to users of all technical abilities, fostering a culture of IT confidence across the office.
- Platform Admin:
- • Administer and support Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Meet, Admin Console) and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune).
- • Manage user accounts, groups, licences, and permissions across both platforms in line with access control policies.
- • Maintain and develop Mobile Device Management (MDM) policies and enrolments using Jamf and/or JumpCloud.
- • Monitor platform health, perform routine housekeeping, and contribute to documentation of
- configurations and processes.
- IT Projects & Continuous Improvement:
- • Participate in and help deliver IT infrastructure and security improvement projects, from scoping through to implementation.
- • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and reduce manual overhead across the IT function.
- • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to gather requirements and communicate project progress clearly.
- • Maintain accurate project documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- AI Tooling & Workflow Automation (Desirable):
- • Champion the adoption of AI productivity tools such as Google Gemini and Claude(Anthropic) to enhance team and organisational efficiency.
- • Design and implement workflow automations using platforms such as Google AppScript, Zapier, Make, or similar.
- • Stay current with developments in enterprise AI tooling and proactively surface opportunities for their responsible use.
Skills & Experience
- Essential:
- • Proven experience in a desktop/floor IT support role
- • Proficient administration of Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365
- • Hands-on experience with an MDM platform (Jamf, JumpCloud, Intune, or equivalent)
- • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and/or macOS environments
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, user-focused approach
- • Ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and work under pressure
- • Experience contributing to or delivering IT improvement projects
- Desirable:
- • Familiarity with both Jamf and JumpCloud
- • Experience with IT security principles or tools (e.g. SSO, MFA, endpoint protection)
- • Exposure to workflow automation tools (AppScript, Zapier, Make, or similar)
- • Interest in or practical experience with AI productivity tools such as Google Gemini or Claude
- • Relevant certifications: Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Jamf 100/200, CompTIA A+ or equivalent
- • Experience writing technical documentation or runbooks
