Lead Engineer 

Location: Manhattan, NY

Salary: $220,000-$245,000

Seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to support a large-scale, multi-site design-build program. This role oversees engineering coordination across projects, ensuring alignment with overall program goals and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage engineering issues arising from stakeholders, site conditions, and project teams.
  • Coordinate subject matter experts and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Support and participate in design-builder meetings and work sessions.
  • Oversee engineering responses during project execution.
  • Attend technical meetings and track/distribute key action items.
  • Guide engineering specialists and ensure alignment with program priorities.
  • Review design submissions and coordinate multidisciplinary feedback.
  • Monitor RFIs and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage engineering team scope, deliverables, and budget.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in engineering, management, and leadership.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Bluebeam.

Preferred:

  • Experience with high-rise or complex construction projects.
  • Familiarity with public sector or design-build environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership capabilities.
