We are looking for an MPO/Crew Payroll Officer for a temporary contract with a duration until the end of 2026.
The purpose of this role is to handle crew requirements on board and prepare payroll. Follow up on the wages, taxation and Belgian flag requirements. To facilitate, expedite, and support the processes involved in payment of crews to the managed vessels, including maintaining systems, records, and information.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare crew payroll and/or allotments.
- Maintain Vessels' correspondence regarding payroll and flag requirements.
- Coordinate with liaison offices, manning offices and crewing agents on reporting of crew changes and maintain ship’s crew list and needed personal information of the crew.
- Maintaining crew personal files, crew changes, record of crew performance, certification and licensing.
- Ensure all vessels are covered by valid CBA and/or signed IBF agreement and ensure minimum safe manning compliance.
- Processing of Flag state documents.
- Follow up on the invoices related to crewing.
- RORO fleet: arranging of crew changes (flights, hotels, taxi, etc.) and payroll requirements.'
- Taxation for Antwerp office managed vessels, Group managed vessels and for 3rd parties managed vessels'
- Be included in the AOH rotation with your fellow colleagues, to take care of emergencies on board which can’t wait to be solved the next working day.
