About CodeRabbit

CodeRabbit is an innovative research and development company focused on building extraordinarily productive human-machine collaboration systems. Our primary goal is to create the next generation of Gen AI-driven code reviewers: a symbiotic partnership between humans and advanced algorithms that significantly outperforms individual engineers. We combine language models with human ingenuity to push the boundaries of software development efficiency and quality.

Role Overview

We're hiring an AI-native Product Manager to own CodeRabbit's local experiences: the CLI, IDE and editor integrations, plugins, and the skills that let developers shape how CodeRabbit works. This is where CodeRabbit shows up inside the developer's own loop, in the terminal and the editor, and increasingly inside the agents they code with. This is a high-ownership IC role with a clear path to build and lead a team once you've settled in and proven impact.

This is the most cutting-edge surface we have. The ground moves monthly as the agentic coding ecosystem evolves, and we want a PM who's already living there: someone who uses these tools every day, has written their own skills, understands how agents actually call tools, and has strong instincts for where developer workflows are heading next.

If you're AI-pilled in the most practical sense, you don't just have opinions about agents, you build with them, this is your role.

What You'll Own

CLI & Local Review

  • Own the CodeRabbit CLI end to end: the experience of running reviews locally, before a PR ever opens, as a fast and natural part of the local dev loop

  • Drive the pre-commit and pre-merge story so developers catch issues at the point of writing, not after

  • Define what "instant, in-flow feedback" looks like and relentlessly cut the latency and friction that gets in its way

IDE & Editor Integrations

  • Own the VS Code extension and the broader set of editor integrations (JetBrains, Cursor, and wherever developers actually write code)

  • Surface findings, explanations, and one-click fixes inline, where the code lives, rather than forcing a context switch

  • Decide which editors and surfaces to invest in based on where our developers and the market are moving

MCP & Agent Workflows

  • Make CodeRabbit a first-class participant in agentic coding loops: a tool that agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and others reach for as part of how they write and ship code

  • Own the MCP integration and the design of how CodeRabbit exposes itself to agents, with the taste to get the tool surface right

  • Anticipate where agent-driven development is going and make sure CodeRabbit is built into that workflow, not bolted onto it

Skills & Extensibility

  • Own the skills and extensibility experience: how developers and organizations encode the way they want CodeRabbit to review, beyond our defaults

  • Design the authoring experience for skills from the ground up, informed by having written and shipped skills yourself and understanding exactly how they work

  • Build the foundation that turns CodeRabbit from a fixed reviewer into a platform people can shape to their own standards and stack

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally at a B2B SaaS or developer tools company

  • AI-pilled in practice: you use agentic coding tools every day, you've written your own skills, you understand MCP and how agents call tools, and you stay on the cutting edge of the AI dev ecosystem because you genuinely enjoy it

  • Technically fluent. You can read and write code, you're at home in a terminal and an editor, and you can have detailed conversations with engineers without a translator

  • You ship fast and iterate in the open, comfortable building in a space where the right answer changes month to month

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; can move from fuzzy problem to clear spec without hand-holding

  • You write well and communicate precisely. PRDs and tickets you've written are things you're proud of

  • Low ego, high ownership. You care about the outcome more than the credit

Nice to Have

  • You've shipped CLI tools, IDE or editor extensions, or developer SDKs

  • You've built or contributed to MCP servers, agent integrations, or agent-native tooling

  • You've published skills, plugins, or open-source developer tools that people actually use

  • You're active in the AI dev community and have a point of view on where agentic development is heading

  • Prior experience at a developer tooling, DevOps, or code intelligence company

What This Isn't

This isn't a stable, well-specced roadmap you'll execute for a year. The surfaces you own change as fast as the AI dev ecosystem does, and a big part of the job is having the taste and conviction to make bets before the answer is obvious. If you need certainty and a fixed brief, this probably isn't your best fit right now.

What it is: the most forward-looking, highest-upside product bet we're making, the place where CodeRabbit meets developers and their agents head-on. We need someone who's excited to live on that edge.

Who You'll Work With

You'll partner closely with our engineering leads (frontend, backend, SRE), the head of design, and our developer-facing and growth teams. You'll report into Product leadership and work alongside a tight-knit, high-output India engineering team that moves fast and expects the same from product.
