Reporting of the role This role reports to a Partner - Client Leadership

Measures of success: In three months, you would have:

  • Established strong, trusting relationships with key client stakeholders across your portfolio.
  • Gained a deep understanding of your clients' business objectives, market challenges, and competitive landscape.
  • Identified immediate opportunities for enhancing client satisfaction and service delivery.

In six months, you would have:

  • Developed and started implementing comprehensive account growth strategies for your clients, demonstrating clear revenue expansion.
  • Successfully led cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that address client needs and drive measurable impact.
  • Become a trusted strategic advisor to your clients, proactively bringing innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Actively contributed to new business pitches, leveraging client insights and strategic thinking.

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Significantly grown client revenues through expanded scope of work and new service offerings.
  • Achieved high client retention rates and received positive feedback on client satisfaction.
  • Consistently participated in and/or led new business pitches, contributing to the acquisition of new clients or significant project wins.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary strategic contact for a portfolio of key clients, building deep, long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual understanding.
  • Account Growth & Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts, cross-selling and upselling WPP Media's full suite of services (digital, traditional media, content, analytics, etc.).
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive client account plans that align with their business goals, ensuring WPP Media's services are strategically integrated and effectively delivered.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and motivate internal cross-functional teams (e.g., media planning, buying, analytics, creative, digital specialists) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Business Acumen & Consulting: Act as a strategic consultant to clients, understanding their industry, competitive landscape, and challenges, and offering proactive, insight-driven solutions.
  • Commercial Management: Oversee client budgets, financial forecasting, billing, and profitability for your accounts, ensuring commercial objectives are met.
  • Performance & Reporting: Ensure clients receive high-quality reporting and performance insights, translating data into actionable recommendations and strategic adjustments.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve client challenges or concerns, ensuring timely and effective communication and solutions.
  • New Business Development: Actively participate in, and at times lead, new business pitches for prospective clients, demonstrating WPP Media's capabilities and unique value proposition.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, market changes, and competitive activities to continuously bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to clients.

What you will need:

  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in client leadership, account management, or business development within a media, advertising, or marketing agency, with a strong understanding of the digital ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large, complex client accounts.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels of client organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of clients' business challenges and the ability to translate them into actionable media and marketing strategies.
