Job Summary:

Qualified Health is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to help our customers and internal teams understand, measure, and communicate the impact of our AI-powered solutions. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare analytics, clinical informatics, and data strategy, serving as the critical link between clinical workflows, source data systems, and the insights that demonstrate value to our health system partners.

You will work directly with clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders to translate healthcare data into meaningful measures of clinical, financial, and operational impact. A deep understanding of Epic and healthcare data structures is essential, as much of the evidence demonstrating Qualified Health's success originates from EHR systems and clinical source data.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence product strategy, support customer success, contribute to new product development initiatives, and present insights that are consumed across the organization and by executive stakeholders at leading health systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics & Value Measurement

  • Develop reporting frameworks that quantify the clinical, operational, and financial impact of Qualified Health's products.

  • Build executive-level dashboards, analyses, and value reports that demonstrate ROI and customer outcomes.

  • Connect clinical data, utilization metrics, workflow performance, and operational KPIs to generate actionable insights.

  • Identify trends and opportunities that help customers understand the value generated through AI-driven interventions.

Clinical Data & Epic Expertise

  • Translate complex clinical concepts and workflows into structured data models and reporting frameworks.

  • Leverage deep knowledge of Epic data structures to ensure accurate interpretation of source data and outcome measures.

  • Partner with customer clinical informatics and analytics teams to understand source systems, validate assumptions, and ensure reporting accuracy.

  • Reconcile data definitions across organizations and establish standardized approaches for outcome measurement.

Data Analysis & Query Development

  • Develop complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze healthcare data across multiple sources.

  • Design analytical methodologies that connect patient-level clinical activity to measurable business outcomes.

  • Navigate large, complex healthcare datasets to uncover insights and answer strategic business questions.

  • Partner with data engineering teams to ensure data pipelines support reporting and analytics needs.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Establish quality assurance frameworks and validation processes to ensure reporting accuracy.

  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metric definitions, and reporting standards.

  • Monitor data quality and proactively identify issues that may impact analyses or customer reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis with demonstrated expertise in clinical data mapping and EHR data structures

  • Deep clinical domain knowledge including understanding of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and healthcare delivery processes

  • Advanced SQL proficiency with experience writing complex queries against healthcare databases and EHR systems

  • EHR Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with Epic EHR platform is required. Exposure to other EHR platforms (Cerner, AllScripts, or NextGen) is helpful.

  • Healthcare Data Standards: Working knowledge of FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, and other clinical coding systems

  • Data Quality Experience: Proven track record developing and implementing data validation frameworks and quality assurance processes

  • Client-facing Skills: Strong ability to work directly with health system stakeholders, translate technical concepts for clinical audiences, and manage complex data reconciliation projects

  • Problem-solving Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data mapping issues and develop creative solutions for non-standard data formats

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to document complex mappings and present findings to varied technical and clinical audiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, or related field

Desirable Skills:

  • Clinical Background: Clinical training, HIM certification, or formal healthcare informatics education

  • FHIR Implementation Experience: Hands-on experience with FHIR mapping and transformation projects

  • Epic Certification: Cogito, Caboodle, Clarity, or Chronicles training and certification

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare data governance requirements

  • Analytics Tools: Proficiency in Python, R, Tableau, or similar analytical platforms

  • Project Management: Experience leading cross-functional data mapping initiatives

  • Master's degree in relevant field

  • Professional certifications in health informatics (RHIA, CHPS, or similar)

Technical Environment:

You'll work with healthcare data from diverse sources including: 

  • Epic (Clarity, Chronicles, FHIR APIs)

  • Cerner, AllScripts, and other major EHR platforms

  • Claims data (CMS, commercial payers)

  • Clinical registries and specialty systems

  • FHIR R4 and legacy HL7 formats

Pay & Benefits: The pay range for this role is between $120,000 and $160,000, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
