Role Overview
Extreme Networks is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead hardware platform programs and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives spanning hardware bring-up, software integration, cloud networking, and AI-enabled product analytics. You will drive complex hardware/software co-development programs -- managing cross-program dependencies, tracking portfolio health, and enabling engineering and QA teams to deliver on time with data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Own end-to-end program execution for hardware platform and cloud Networking, including hardware bring-up, software integration, cloud networking, and AI-enabled product analytics
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, product management, QA, hardware, customer support, and operations teams across geographies to ensure program alignment
- Execution Excellence: Develop and manage integrated program plans, timelines, risks, and interdependencies to ensure quality and on-time delivery across all workstreams
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface regularly with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners to communicate progress, challenges, and strategic alignment
- AI-Driven Reporting: Apply AI tools for project health reports and data-driven decisions; drive Agile/Scrum across hardware and software teams using engineering and QA toolchains
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in engineering or computer science (master’s preferred); 10+ years of hands-on technical program management experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration in a global matrixed organization; experience managing NPI and hardware/software co-development programs
- Proficient in Agile/Scrum with experience managing feature releases across multiple engineering scrum teams; excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and executive reporting tools; able to navigate ambiguity and make data-driven decisions with limited data
Preferred Skills
- Background in hardware product bring-up, PCBA validation, or silicon/ASIC integration in a networking or computer environment
- PMP, SAFe, or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification; experience managing cross-product portfolios across globally distributed teams
