Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Jira Cloud, including user management, permissions, and project configurations.
  • Design, implement, and optimize Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, and schemes to align with business processes.
  • Build and maintain automation rules using Jira Automation, scripting, and REST APIs to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Develop and manage integrations between Jira and other enterprise tools (e.g., Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Jira solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity across Jira projects.
  • Document configurations, automation scripts, and best practices for long-term maintainability.
  • Provide training and support to users, ensuring effective adoption of Jira features and workflows.

Skillset (Must have)

  • Possess a degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering Jira Cloud in a production environment.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript) for automation and integration.
  • Proven experience in building Jira automation rules and using REST APIs and webhooks for custom integrations.
  • Possess solid understanding of Jira workflow design, permission schemes, issue types, and project templates.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles and version control systems (e.g. Git).
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with AWS (or GPC) is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to enterprise IT environments and security/compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
