Role Summary:
The new tariff regime introduces a whole new opportunity to create disproportionate monetization
value for STAR India thus strengthening the need to communicate directly to the consumer
This role will require the person to work closely on an average 25 Channel/Affiliate partners at any given
point of time to help grow the Subscription revenues using both B2C and B2B marketing
This person will be required to work closely with Distribution Leadership team, key stakeholders
including Channel and Sales teams to arrive at marketing plans & media budget decisions based on
affiliate and consumer insights and thereby, drive reach & revenue.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Lead and develop Marketing plans including Annual operating plan for Distribution marketing with a clear lens on driving Revenue
Have a strong ROI driven approach to budget management and campaign execution
Identify marketing strategies and channels that solves business pain points; to drive new customer acquisitions, retain or bring back lapsers – with an implement and measure mindset
Formulate strategy & execute integrated plans for B2C and B2B campaigns across TV, digital,print, radio, OOH to generate top of the funnel demand, convert at the bottom to grow revenues
Explore & implement technology, leverage automation and AI to enable affiliate and consumer needs
Manage end to end and grow categories – Linear TV, VAS and IPTV
Propose new projects and work with the sales teams to create growth loops
Create marketing partnerships to drive influencer and partner-led growth
Handle Publicity and publicity related communication to drive visibility for Distribution initiatives at a strategic level and also for ground teams
Conduct regular analysis of BARC data, including tracking of competition, and develop actionable insights. The idea is not just create dashboard, but to learn, implement, test them on ground
Define campaign performance metrics to ensure high level of effectiveness and better results every round of the campaign
Organise and manage all finance related operations to ensure we are on track on budgets
Track & manage Marketing and media budgets
Qualification :
MBA/ PG from Tier I institute, with over 8-9 years’ experience in media and growth marketing Broadcast Media / Agency experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills :
What must separate this role from other marketing role will be the relentless drive for
proposing new marketing solves, running new tests and experiments on a regular basis to
drive revenue growth with different affiliates at a Pan India level.
The person must like data analysis, but even more, like implementing marketing solutions based on those findings
Must have an Entrepreneurial spirit with an intent to create solutions as per affiliate and business Requirements
Strong Media Planning and Growth Marketing Experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of campaign performance tracking mechanisms and analytics tool will be helpful
Ability to understand and crunch large amount of data, such as BARC data & other databases
