About Panora

Panora is building a suite of AI-powered agents for insurance brokers - a highly regulated and operationally complex industry.

Our ambition is to become the AI Operating System for brokers in Europe: automating high-friction workflows while improving compliance, advisory quality, and client relationships.

The product is already live with brokerage firms across France and Belgium, with AI assistants in production (quotation automation, contract comparison, coverage analysis, compliance checks, document generation…).

Panora enables brokers to save hours every week, reduce analysis time by up to 70%, and focus on what truly matters: advising clients .

Founded by Diane du Paty (ex-VC, operator) and Fabian Langlet (repeat founder, AI product engineer), Panora is backed by Hexa (Aircall, Spendesk, Front).

We are entering a key phase of scaling and industrializing our AI platform.

At Panora, AI is not a feature - it is the core product layer, deployed in real-world conditions with strong constraints on reliability, traceability, and compliance.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Founding AI Engineer to build and scale the intelligence layer of Panora.

This is not a pure research role.

You will operate at the intersection of:

  • AI systems (LLMs, agents, RAG)

  • data pipelines and document processing

  • product features used daily by customers

You will play a key role in designing how AI works in production, not just in theory.

As an early team member, you will have strong ownership and direct impact on both product and technical direction.

Responsibilities

AI Systems & Product

  • Design and ship AI-powered features (agents, copilots, workflow automation)

  • Build LLM orchestration systems (prompting, RAG, tool usage)

  • Translate product needs into robust, production-ready AI systems

Data & AI Infrastructure

  • Build and maintain data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, enrichment)

  • Process and structure unstructured data (contracts, emails, insurer documents)

  • Implement systems for evaluation, monitoring, and explainability of AI outputs

Production & Scalability

  • Ship fast: from prototype → production → iteration

  • Improve latency, cost, and reliability of AI systems

  • Work under real-world constraints (regulated environment, enterprise clients)

Ownership & Engineering Culture

  • Own systems end-to-end: design, build, deploy, monitor

  • Contribute to core technical decisions (architecture, tooling, standards)

  • Help define how AI engineering is done at Panora

Our Technology Stack

Built for AI-first product development:

  • Languages: Python (AI/data), TypeScript (backend)

  • AI: LLMs, RAG, agent systems, embeddings, evaluation pipelines

  • Infra: AWS (serverless & managed services)

  • Data: Postgres, vector search, document pipelines

  • Integrations: Microsoft 365, CRM, insurer systems

What matters most is your ability to design robust systems and learn fast.

We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a builder who ships and enjoys working closely with a small, highly collaborative team.

  • 3–6+ years experience in startups or product-driven environments

  • Strong skills in Python and/or backend engineering

  • Hands-on experience (or strong interest) in LLMs / AI systems

  • Comfortable working with messy, real-world data

  • Product mindset: you care about impact in production

  • You enjoy ownership, speed, and ambiguity

Bonus:

  • Experience with RAG, agents, or evaluation systems

  • Experience in fintech, insurance, or regulated environments

Recruitment process

  1. 30min phone screen with Presci (Talent team)

  2. 30min interview with Fabian (Hiring Manager)

  3. 1h30 technical interview with Fabian through a peer-programming session

  4. 30-min interview with Diane (Co-founder & CEO)

  5. Onsite meeting with a member of the Product / Design team and Mat (Partner at Hexa)

  6. Reference checks & offer 🎉
