HI is supporting explosive hazard mitigation operations in high-risk, conflict environments in the Middle East. 

The context is characterized by: 

  • Widespread explosive ordnance contamination.  
  • Significant infrastructure damage.  
  • Complex humanitarian access constraints  
  • A volatile and rapidly evolving operational environment.  

 

This role is part of a structured and coordinated mine action response, where international personnel contribute directly to field-level operations alongside multiple humanitarian actors. 

This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong technical expertise, resilience, and the ability to work in demanding conditions. 

 

YOUR MISSION:   

As a Land Release Technical Field Manager, you will support the safe implementation of explosive hazard mitigation activities in line with international standards.  

Mission 1: Operational Implementation 

You will: 

  • Conduct Explosive Hazard Assessments (EHA), including survey, classification and reporting.  
  • Plan and implement EOD operations in line with international standards.  
  • Support humanitarian access operations, including route verification and area assessments.  
  • Contribute to damage and debris-related safety assessments.  
  • Participate in quality control (QC) activities.  
  • Conduct safety checks of humanitarian premises and operational sites.  
  • Deliver explosive hazard risk awareness briefings to humanitarian personnel.  
  • Safely identify, mark, isolate and report explosive hazards in accordance with procedures.  

 

Mission 2: Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement 

You will: 

  • Coordinate with humanitarian actors and operational stakeholders  
  • Contribute to safe access and information-sharing mechanisms  
  • Represent technical activities at field level when required
