Primary Science Specialist 

Permanent, full-time role 

£40,000 to £55,000 (full time equivalent) dependent on experience 

Hybrid role, 2 days home working and 3 days in our offices across Halifax, HX2 and Leeds, LS11 

 

The role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen working in our specialist science team.  We are now looking for a creative, self-motivated, dynamic, passionate and driven individual who literally wants to help us take on the world!  

 

Working as a Primary Science Specialist the core purpose of your role will be: 

  • To produce high quality materials that support the White Rose Science curriculum. 
  • To support the teaching of science in primary provision through high quality, effective CPD and working with primary school leaders. 
  • To work with individual teachers to improve their performance. 
  • To work with school leaders to audit requirements, provision and plan for improvements. 
  • To support and advise primary schools with effective implementation of the White Rose Science curriculum. 
  • To support any other reasonable request, working with other partners as appropriate.

To be considered for this role you must hold QTS, must have passed your ECT, and must be able to evidence effective teaching and performance within your area of specialism (Primary Science).  Experience of subject leadership in a teaching environment is desirable.
