About the Role
We’re seeking a highly strategic and execution-oriented Product Lead to drive product definition, prioritization, and development across our portfolio of power systems.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial, and operations. You will define what we build, why it matters, and how we execute—balancing near-term deployment needs with long-term platform development.
Responsibilities
As a Product Lead at Critical Loop, you will:
Drive Product Prioritization Across Complex Initiatives
Own prioritization across multiple concurrent product efforts, including:
Fleet-level battery modifications
Utility and industrial product development
Large-scale power applications
Next-generation power conversion systems
Develop structured frameworks to evaluate trade-offs across revenue, urgency, technical risk, and resourcing
Ask the right cross-functional questions to inform prioritization (Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance)
Translate ambiguity into clear, sequenced product roadmaps
Enforce Alignment & Execution
Drive alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities
Clearly communicate decisions, trade-offs, and rationale
Ensure teams execute against agreed priorities and timelines
Continuously reassess priorities based on new data, customer needs, and technical learnings
Build Product Development Processes
Establish and scale internal processes across the product lifecycle, including:
Customer requirements gathering and iteration
Design criteria definition and system architecture alignment
Structured design reviews (concept, PDR, CDR)
Verification & validation (V&V) strategies for deployment readiness
Ensure traceability from customer requirements → product specifications → validation
Translate Customer Needs into Buildable Products
Gather and synthesize customer requirements into clear product definitions
Work closely with engineering to ensure feasibility and scalability
Balance bespoke customer needs with platform-level product strategy
Own Product Roadmap & Delivery
Define and maintain product roadmaps across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons
Balance fast deployment cycles with foundational product development
Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans
Requirements
5+ years of product management, systems engineering, integration engineering, or technical program leadership experience
Strong ability to prioritize across multiple complex, technical initiatives
Experience working on hardware/software integrated systems (energy, power electronics, or similar preferred)
Proven ability to build and implement structured product development processes
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Background in energy systems, battery storage, power electronics, or grid infrastructure
Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth environments
Familiarity with large-scale system deployments (utility, industrial, or data center environments)
Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline
What Success Looks Like
Clear, defensible prioritization across competing initiatives
High alignment across engineering, commercial, and operations teams
Scalable product development processes that improve speed and quality
Successful delivery of products from concept through deployment
