As our Quality & SHE engineer, you need to ensure the factory runs safely and smoothly in the following 2 areas.
SHE (Safety, Health & Environment)
- Ensure safe operations on site and sustainable compliance with Envalior SHE requirements, standards, best practices, and local laws and regulations
- Maintain an injury-free and incident-free workplace and prevent occupational illnesses
- Promote and continuously improve safety behavior and safety culture
Quality
- Ensure effective operation of the Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949 requirement, support and supervise the implementation of quality systems
- Ensure product quality and timely delivery to customers
- Manage incoming material inspection and release
- Ensure timely release of finished products
- Ensure execution of annual internal audit plans and management reviews
- Act as the site contact for customers, maintaining a customer-centric approach
Key Areas of Accountability / Responsibilities
- Identify applicable SHE regulations and ensure compliance
- Conduct and participate in risk assessments
- Implement SHE procedures and Envalior SHE standards
- Perform routine audits to ensure effectiveness of procedures and communication
- Analyze safety performance data (e.g., scorecards, dashboards)
- Monitor incident trends and ensure corrective action follow-up
- Manage IRIS data input and incident communication (e.g., safety bulletins)
- Interface with government authorities and external visitors
- Act as MOC (Management of Change) committee secretary and manage monthly reporting
- Coordinate COA activities and track follow-up actions
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs
- Report unsafe conditions of operations and equipment
- Lead safety observation programs and SafeStart initiatives
- Monitor occupational health and environmental performance with third-party support
Process Safety Responsibilities
- Participate in process safety activities (PSC role mapping):
- HAZOP team member
- MSA chair
- ERA team member
- Machine guarding (SRS)
- Design verification (PSP, SCP)
- Manage permits and approvals (e.g., LTO)
- Act as site security coordinator
- Liaise with NHU SHE teams
Quality & System Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Envalior operational requirements, IATF 16949, and local regulations
- Promote quality awareness and behavior
- Member of Site Safety Committee and MOC Committee
- Establish and maintain site Quality Management System
- Manage MOC processes
- Issue COAs (Certificates of Analysis)
- Monitor effective implementation of quality system documentation
- Analyze quality issues (non-conformance, incidents, customer complaints) and drive corrective actions
- Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives and culture
- Support cost-of-quality control across departments
- Prepare for customer audits and visits
- Collaborate with NHU and other plants for raw material and finished product release
- Track corrective actions from internal and external audits
- Apply quality tools such as SPC for continuous improvement
- Support validation of new products, equipment, and processes
- Perform other assigned task
