Warehouse Operations Intern | M-KOPA Ghana

📦 Where the magic actually starts.

Before a customer unboxes their first smartphone, before they access credit for the first time. Before they use that phone to run a business, pay school fees, or simply stay connected — someone had to make sure that device was set up, checked, logged, and ready to go.

That someone could be you.

M-KOPA is looking for a Warehouse Operations Intern to join our Logistics team in Ghana. If you're early in your career, love a hands-on environment, and want to see how a fast-growing African tech company operates from the inside — keep reading.

About M-KOPA

We've connected over 7 million customers across Africa to smartphones, solar energy, and financial services — unlocking $2 billion+ in credit for people who had never accessed formal financial services before. 86% of our customers say their quality of life has genuinely improved. We're building toward 10 million customers, and our warehouse team is a big part of how we get there.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

This is a real, hands-on role — not a "make-tea-and-sit-in-meetings" internship.

  • Phone setup and prep — Configure PAYGO phones accurately following our approved process, working toward a daily target of 300 Ready for Sale units. Yes, 300. It's a rhythm you'll get into — and it feels great when you hit it.

  • Order processing and dispatch — Help get the right stock to the right place at the right time. You're part of the chain that connects the warehouse to the customer.

  • Stock management — Keep accurate records across Current Stock, Stock in Channel, and Total Sales. The numbers matter — a lot.

  • Systems monitoring and reporting — Track devices using M-KOPA's internal tools and support basic operational reporting so the team always knows where things stand.

  • Housekeeping and safety — Keep your workstation clean, follow 6S standards, and wear your PPE properly. A safe warehouse is a happy warehouse. 😄

What Makes You Ready

  • You've recently completed school or have some early work experience — ideally in a warehouse, retail, or hands-on environment

  • You're a quick learner who can follow processes carefully and consistently

  • You've got great attention to detail — especially when doing tasks that need to be done the same way, every time

  • You're comfortable with basic computer systems or happy to learn

  • You're dependable, team-oriented, and take your responsibilities seriously

What You'll Take Away

More than just a line on your CV.

You'll build real operational skills, understand how stock management connects to sales performance, and develop the kind of workplace habits that open doors — in logistics, supply chain, retail operations, and beyond. You'll also be part of a team that's helping put life-changing products into the hands of customers across Africa.

Not bad for an internship. 🙌

What We Offer

  • Hands-on experience at one of Africa's fastest-growing tech companies

  • A structured, supportive team environment where you'll genuinely learn

  • The satisfaction of seeing your daily work connect directly to customer impact

  • A strong foundation for a career in logistics, operations, or supply chain
