We're Matillion, and we're building the first AI Data Automation platform. Our Sales Development team is the engine that fuels our growth, and we're looking for an SDR who is hungry, sharp and ready to make an impact from day one. This is a role for someone who thrives on prospecting, loves a conversation and understands that building pipeline is both a science and an art.
You'll own both inbound and outbound activity across your assigned territory; identifying new business opportunities, qualifying leads and building the kind of relationships that open doors for our Enterprise Account Executives. If you're early in your sales career and looking for a place to grow fast in a world-class GTM team - this is it.
What you will be doing
- Proactively prospecting outbound leads across your assigned territory; researching target accounts, identifying the right contacts and engaging decision-makers through sharp, personalised outreach via phone, email and LinkedIn
- Qualifying inbound and outbound opportunities, understanding customer needs and building a strong, healthy pipeline that sets our Account Executives up to win
- Leveraging modern sales tools; including Salesforce, Gong, Demandbase, 6Sense and ZoomInfo, to prioritise your activity, track engagement and maximise efficiency
- Building genuine relationships with prospects, acting as the first point of contact for Matillion and representing our brand with confidence and clarity
- Collaborating closely with Account Executives and Marketing to align on territory strategy, share market intelligence and contribute to a high-performing, team-first sales culture
What we are looking for
- Some experience in sales, business development or a similar role - you know what good outbound looks like and you're not afraid of the phone
- Proficiency with sales engagement and intelligence tools; Salesforce, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Demandbase, 6Sense or ZoomInfo, and a genuine willingness to master new technology fast
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; you write sharp, you speak clearly and you know how to tailor a message to an audience
- Motivated, goal-oriented and resilient; you handle rejection without losing momentum and you bring a positive, proactive energy to the team every day
- A team player with a bias for action; you take initiative, collaborate willingly and are genuinely curious about the technology space you're selling into
