Artsy is looking for a proactive, organized Employee Experience Associate to own day-to-day office operations and build a welcoming, inclusive experience in our New York office. This is a full-time position, and will report to our Associate Director of People Operations.
You will be responsible for everything that ensures the New York office runs smoothly, using your resourcefulness and attention to detail to keep the office in tip top shape. More than execution, we expect you to proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and raise the bar on employee experience. You’ll work alongside the rest of the People Team to foster a strong culture in the office, including organizing events to build team cohesion.
This role also gives you real visibility across the business; from supporting senior leadership to partnering with the People team and beyond. We're looking for someone who's comfortable working across departments and energized by the idea of helping the whole People team run smoothly. When fully ramped, you’ll be that one person that everyone in New York can rely on to make their time in the office productive and enjoyable.
The role is based full-time out of our New York office (five days per week in office)
What You’ll Do:
Office Operations & Employee Experience
Own all ongoing office processes such as kitchen & supply stocking, repairs & maintenance, employee requests
Manage inventory proactively — from office supplies to food and beverages — ensuring the office is always stocked and ready; take ownership of the detail, whether that’s keeping the fridge full or flagging a broken chair
Manage outside vendors, including cleaning staff, repair workers, deliveries, etc
Manage workplace systems such as request tickets and hot desking
Continuously look for ways to improve office processes and the employee experience — bring ideas, flag issues early, and don’t wait to be asked
People & Onboarding
Work with People Operations and IT Teams to prepare all new New York hires for onboarding
Partner closely across HR, IT, hiring, and Leadership teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and strong cross-functional relationships
Events Management
Plan & execute events for New York team, including attending events outside of regular work hours
Who You Are:
Position will be based in-person, in our NY office
Must be currently located and authorized to work in NY
Proactive, not just reactive — you identify what needs to happen and act before being asked; you bring ideas for process improvement, not just execution
Reliable: you’re punctual, responsive, on top of your schedule, and you always meet your deadlines
Highly organized: you love checklists, processes, and catching every last detail
Self-starter: you can structure your own days, find your own answers, and operate confidently on your own
Good prioritization: you’re able to quickly identify and tackle all matters of crises, in order of urgency
Calm under pressure: you can bring order from chaos, stay solutions-focused, and keep your calm
Strong communicator: you can interact with all types of personalities and you’re comfortable navigating feedback
Hospitality mindset: you are friendly, gracious, and always thinking about your teammates’ experience
Ambitious: you’re excited to grow in the role over time and take on broader ownership across HR, operations, or other areas of the business
What We Offer:
Opportunity to reimagine the art industry while working with a talented, diverse, international team
Competitive salary and equity
Flexible time off: our culture of trust and empowerment allows employees to take the time they need away from work while still excelling in their roles
