About the role
The Export Specialist will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing all export documentation required for international shipments while ensuring full compliance with global trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
This is an onsite role, with the possibility of a hybrid arrangement following agreement after the onboarding period.
It is a 12‑month fixed-term contract, working Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30, based in Listowel.
What will I be doing?
- Communicate and negotiate with freight forwarders
- Communicate with appropriate internal and external departments, freight forwarders, trading banks and customers when required.
- Correspond with customers for approval of documents.
- Create, assemble, and submit applicable export documents required per country requirements in accordance with export and import laws and regulations.
- Assist with invoice creation.
- Follow up with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of all necessary documents.
- Proofread commercial documents.
- Ensure clients, departments and/or other required parties are kept fully informed of transport arrangements and status on a regular basis from departure to arrival of goods.
- Follow up on each export shipment and keep track of changed departure and arrival dates.
What do I need to be successful?
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms 2020.
- Understanding of customs procedures, export controls, and trade compliance.
- Experience with export documentation platforms (e.g., Chambers of Commerce systems).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) preferable but not essential.
