The Role
This role involves managing inventory and material control tasks through a cycle count and credit returns process within our Warehouse Network. Collaborating with Supply Chain, Finance, and other teams to establish a streamlined process, the individual will use various software tools such as ERP and Excel Power BI to identify materials that need to be counted. They will conduct physical counts of these materials and make the required system adjustments to maintain accurate inventory records. This is a hands-on role, involving the use of various counting devices and equipment to perform the material counting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate Daily / weekly count program, ensuring accurate scheduling and effective communication among all team members to maintain consistency and reliability in inventory tracking.
- Analyse and resolve discrepancies by thoroughly investigating count variances and implementing detailed corrective measures to prevent recurrence and improve overall inventory accuracy.
- Generate and manage counts via ERP and Barcode Scanning technology, ensuring data is captured swiftly and accurately to support real-time inventory management and reporting.
- Put corrective action plans in place to minimise discrepancies, working closely with operational teams to address root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
- Co-ordinate Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions with Finance and Supply Chain departments, fostering collaboration across functions to resolve issues effectively and enhance inventory control processes.
- Manage a 5-day turnaround for Credit returns, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial and inventory records.
- Conduct detailed analysis of Excess and Obsolete Stock to identify slow-moving or redundant items, enabling strategic decision-making for inventory optimization.
- Update all Cycle counts on the system of record promptly and accurately, maintaining up-to-date inventory data to support operational and financial reporting requirements.
- Audit Vendor stocks (consumables) periodically to ensure compliance with stock levels and contractual agreements, safeguarding against stock discrepancies and losses.
- Perform GRN (Goods Receipt Note) Reconciliation Audits to verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and delivery documents, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed swiftly.
- Oversee MRB (Material Review Board) Management processes, coordinating the evaluation and disposition of non-conforming materials to minimize impact on production and inventory.
- Report weekly count KPIs to management, providing detailed insights into inventory accuracy, discrepancy trends, and improvement initiatives to support informed decision-making.
