Junior Python Engineer
London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

My client is a fast-growing fintech based in London, and they’re looking for a Junior Python Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a great opportunity to work on real-world financial products in a high-growth environment where technology is central to the business.
You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering team building scalable backend services and APIs, with the chance to develop your skills quickly and make a genuine impact. The business is growing rapidly, so this role offers strong progression and exposure to modern engineering practices.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and maintaining backend services in Python.
- Developing APIs and working on scalable financial systems.
- Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Contributing to technical improvements across the platform.
What they’re looking for
- Commercial experience with Python, ideally 1–3 years.
- Experience with backend development and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
