Monk is an AI-native accounts receivable platform for B2B companies. We automate billing, collections, and payments so finance teams can turn outstanding invoices into cash, faster.
We believe the AR stack is broken and the finance function deserves much better. We are bringing AI, speed, and real craftsmanship to a space that has been ignored for too long.
We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff: Full-stack to join us in NYC in person. We do not care about your education, age, or past titles. All that matters is whether you can ship, lead, and raise the bar for everyone around you.
What you will do
Own and architect core systems: billing engines, payment integrations, collections workflows, AI agents, and the infrastructure underneath all of it
Ship full-stack features end-to-end, from database schema to API to UI. No handoffs
Set technical direction. Make architectural decisions that hold up as we scale
Mentor other engineers and raise the quality bar across the codebase
Work shoulder to shoulder with customers and feed what you learn directly into what you build
Build with AI as a core capability, not a feature bolted on
Who you are
6+ years of production-level experience shipping full-stack products
Deep TypeScript fluency across backend and frontend
Experience with modern web infrastructure: Next.js, Vercel, Supabase, or comparable tools
Owner. You do not wait for specs. You figure out what needs to be built and go build it
Extreme drive and a track record of getting things into production, repeatedly, at high quality
You set the standard for code quality and you hold others to it
AI-native. You default to using AI to move faster. You see it as a multiplier, not a novelty
Excited to build in person in Flatiron, NYC
Bonus if you are: (1) ex-founder or founding engineer, (2) have shipped fintech or payments products, (3) world-class in a domain
