Join Our Team as Packaging Technician!
 
Our fruits & vegetables are wrapped and sold in our internally designed packaging. That this can really happen is your daily challenge! 
 
As a Packaging Technician, you will select and evaluate packaging materials to ensure the protection and preservation of fruit and vegetables, while staying updated on packaging technology and sustainability trends. You will interpret and apply legislative regulations, ensuring compliance with ESG standards, and manage internal and external audits. Additionally, you will supervise contracts with suppliers and customers, and maintain an accurate packaging database. Your role will be crucial in assessing environmental impacts and seeking sustainable alternatives.

Your passion – our daily business

• You will be selecting and evaluating suitable packaging materials for the protection and preservation of fruit and vegetables.
• You will be performing quality and sustainability testing of packaging materials.
• You will be assessing the environmental impact of packaging materials and seeking more sustainable alternatives.
• You will be interpreting and applying legislative regulations related to the packaging of food products.
• You will be implementing and supervising compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) regulations in packaging processes.
• You will be managing and coordinating internal and external audits related to packaging.
• You will be supervising and managing contracts with suppliers and customers, ensuring compliance with established agreements.
• You will be keeping up to date on legislations, recommendations of leading business entities and corporations, brands and customers
• You will be managing the packaging database, ensuring information is up to date and accurate.

Requirements

What you'll bring along

• You have technical training in Materials Engineering, Food Technology, or related fields.
• You are fluent in Spanish and English.
• You have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the food packaging industry.
• You have ability to interpret and apply packaging legislation, contract management and supplier negotiation skills.
• You have in-depth knowledge of packaging materials and their properties.
• You are a team player, and you can easily adapt to unforeseen changes.
• You are an organized, detail-oriented person, with excellent communication skills, problem-solver
