Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Product Information Analyst, you ensure product data is accurate, complete, and operationally ready across the merchandising lifecycle. You enable scalable data management and decision making by maintaining high-quality product information that translates business inputs into structured, system-ready data. This role is a critical connector across Design, Product Development, Merchandising and Supply Chain teams, ensuring product data flows seamlessly from concept to launch. As you evolve in role, you leverage the data entered to generate reporting and insights that inform the assortment and enable better business decisions.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team:
The Process Operations organization sits at the heart of the Arc’teryx end-to-end value chain, leading enterprise-wide alignment, advancing a culture of radical collaboration. The Product Data & Analytics team, a new function within Process Operations, is the central authority and gatekeeper for seasonal product data. We are responsible for transforming data management from a necessary task to an enterprise capability, resulting in a portfolio of data products that enable better decisions from concept to guest. We partner with Technology, Product Creation, Merchandising and Master Data teams to evolve our governance model, modernize tooling, and embed KPI-led performance management into our end-to-end value chain. You will be at the forefront of these efforts, helping to shape the vision, operating model and execution of our initiatives.
If you were in the Product Information Analyst role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Participating in key Innovation to Customer (I2C) milestones between Design, Product Development, and Merchandising teams
- Creating, maintaining, and validating Model and SKU-level data in Merchandising and PLM systems
- Ensuring completeness and accuracy of product attributes across the full lifecycle – from raw materials to finished goods
- Executing and auditing seasonal data loads and updates in alignment with key Design, Development, Merchandising, and Planning team milestones
- Creating and enforcing data standards, naming conventions, and attribute definitions
- Identifying, communicating, and resolving data inconsistencies, gaps, and errors
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve data integrity and reduce rework
- Collaborating with Product Line Managers, Regional Merchants, Product Developers and Business Planners to capture and maintain accurate product information
- Surfacing and resolving anomalies and edge cases related to attribution, hierarchy, and key measures
- Translating your category’s business processes, seasonal strategy, and product inputs into structured system data
- Acting as a subject matter expert on product data and business processes by championing issues and opportunities between Product Creation, Operations, and Technology teams
- Ensuring market readiness by ensuring product data is complete and system ready
- Monitoring deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all data milestones
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Contributing to documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting implementation of data governance frameworks and tooling enhancements
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
- Acting as a data steward for your assigned category, owning the quality, structure, and usability of product data
- Briefing in requirements for enhancing our analytics data platform to serve use cases for reporting, self-service tools, pre-configured dashboards, and modern query interfaces
- Researching, identifying, and translating offline product attribution to systems-ready definitions and partnering with Technology teams to enable and scale where appropriate
- Contributing to the redesign of Merchandising hierarchies across ERP systems, attributes, and taxonomies to improve data quality, searchability and analytics usefulness
- Using tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI (DAX) and Excel to develop and test analytics solutions in a sandbox environment
- Partnering with Technology teams to push the most useful solutions to production and champion tool adoption amongst your user base, through business-friendly documentation and ongoing training and education
- Developing and presenting Merchandising analytics education modules in partnership with your Process Operations functional leaders
Are you our next Product Information Analyst?
- You have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, with 2+ years’ experience in product data management, merchandising operations, retail, or a related function
- You are familiar with managing business operations in Direct-to-Consumer Retail, Wholesale or E-com environments
- You have a general knowledge of Merchandising, Buying or Open to Buy processes
- You have deep expertise in Excel and familiarity with advanced analytics tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, DAX)
- You are familiar with the product development process, inclusive of both technical and creative aspects
- You are comfortable working at all levels of leadership, able to facilitate, present ideas and engage in curiosity, across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You have a strong intellectual curiously and a continuous improvement mindset
- You are proactive to identify inefficiencies and have a demonstrated ability to design scalable, sustainable solutions
- You have a proven ability to synthesize and interpret data, spot trends, draw conclusions, develop recommendations, and influence action
- You are comfortable with ambiguous, fast-growth, entrepreneurial environments
- You thrive in ambiguous environments and bring structure to complexity
- You have exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
Compensation:
- The salary range for this role is CAD$71,000 - CAD$93,000
Most new team members join between the start and midpoint of the range, where you can contribute right away while continuing to grow your craft, your collaborations, and your impact at Arc’teryx. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
